📄️ Introduction
As stated before, LOFAR data is stored on a tape infrastructure at the LTA locations. It can however be staged temporarily to be downloaded or accessed on a disk. This section of the guide explains how stage requests can be created and viewed. Additionally, there is a section that explains all the states in which a stage request can be.
📄️ The Overview Page
The stage request overview is the landing page of the application and - provided that you are logged in - shows a list of all your stage requests. Your name will appear in the top navigation bar, and to the top left a button with a plus sign to create a new stage request is visible.
📄️ Creating a Stage Request
In most cases, a staging request will be created through the LOFAR LTA interface. If you already have a list of surls from the LTA, a stage request can be created by pressing the button with a plus sign at the top of the page:
📄️ Viewing a Stage Request
On the overview page, you can click on a request id (in the column labeled REQUEST ID) to view the details of a request:
📄️ Stage Request States
A stage request can be in one of several states. In addition to the Request status property on the details page of a request, the state of a request is also reflected in the Status badge on the overview page:
📄️ Macaroons
StageIT is supported with macaroons. A valid Macaroon will be generated per stage request for every LTA site.
